DW News April 7 | Israel remembers terror victims, 30 years after Rwanda genocide | Full Broadcast

Six months after the Hamas terror attacks on Israel, vigils are taking place around the world to commemorate the victims.
In Jerusalem, people gathered to remember approximately 1,200 who were killed and the more than 200 kidnapped in the attacks.

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says its forces are one step away from victory. The army says it has pulled all its troops out of southern Gaza, including the city of Khan Younis, the scene of heavy fighting. The health authority run by Hamas in Gaza says more than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began.

The horror of the Rwandan genocide, 30 years on. Many of those killed fled to churches, hoping in vain to find sanctuary. We meet one survivor at the site of one of the worst massacres.
