How responsible is the international community for the Rwanda genocide? | DW News

Rwanda is marking the thirty year anniversary of the start of the 1994 genocide that is estimated to have claimed more than 800,000 lives.
Political leaders gathered to mark the moment that started 100 days of ethnic violence that continue to haunt the country, in particular survivors.
Ahead of the ceremony, French President Emmanuel Macron said France and its allies could have stopped the bloodshed, but lacked the will to do so.
