US Putting Japan, South Korea, India On China's Radar By Seeking Ship Repairs In Region During War

The US military is planning to carry out maintenance work on as many as six American naval ships at international shipyards next fiscal year. If approved by Congress, the move will signal a significant effort in identifying foreign shipyards for the upkeep of US Navy vessels. It will not only expand the use of foreign shipyards for such work on US Navy ships but also lead to certifying shipyards that match US standards. US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro disclosed the plans during a recent House Armed Services Committee hearing on the fiscal 2025 budget. Watch the video to find out more.
