France's EU Election: Far-right leader Jordan Bardella favorite in June vote | DW News

Jordan Bardella took over as leader of France’s far-right National Rally party from Marine LePen, and is the party’s lead candidate in next month’s European elections. Speaking at a campaign event this week, the 28-year-old urged supporters to turn out in large numbers.

National Rally has been leading in the polls, ahead of the EU-wide vote – and Bardella wants the election to be seen as a mid-term referendum on the government of President Emmanuel Macron.
