Sweden has formally joined NATO as the 32nd member of the transatlantic military alliance, ending decades of post-war neutrality.
Sweden’s accession to NATO comes as Germany’s defense minister travels through Scandinavia. Boris Pistorius is looking for a potential blueprint for reintroducing conscription in Germany, but the task will require significant political backing.
