UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese tells Al Jazeera that today’s decision from the International Court of Justice will make it more difficult for Israel’s friends in the international community to continue to defend it.

While she admitted that the US has often used its veto power in the UN Security Council to “prevent basic measures of justice,” she believes that “It’s going to be different for European countries, which have a clear stance on respect for international law”.
