The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claims its forces eliminated “many terrorists” in the al-Amal neighbourhood of Khan Younis. According to the Israeli army, 10 Hamas gunmen were killed in two separate airstrikes in Khan Younis, some of whom were armed with RPGs. The UN said heavy fighting has “encircled” two hospitals in Gaza’s Khan Younis, Nasser and Al-Amal. At least 20 Palestinians have been killed and 180 others wounded after Israeli forces targeted people as they waited for humanitarian relief in Gaza City.
