Israel’s foreign minister sidestepped discussion of a two-state solution at a meeting with European Union counterparts on Jan. 22. Instead, Israel Katz suggested that Palestinians could be housed on an artificial island in the Mediterranean. Katz showed a short video clip reflecting his vision for Israel and the Middle East, while addressing the EU Foreign Ministers Council in Brussels. The clip depicted two projects Katz has been advancing for several years now, mainly in his capacities as transportation minister and energy minister.
