The United Nations General Assembly is holding an emergency plenary on the war between Israel and Hamas and the situation in Palestinian territories. It follows the failure to pass a resolution in the UN Security Council on October 18, calling for “humanitarian pauses” to the fighting. The resolution was vetoed by the US.
