Former US President Donald Trump said that he enjoyed drawing what he indicated was “praise” from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Earlier Putin had acknowledged Trump’s repeated claims that he could bring Russia’s conflict with Ukraine to an end within a matter of hours. During an interview with Kristen Welker, the new NBC Meet the Press moderator, Trump said “I like that he said that. It means I’m right”. He also said that he would end the war in Ukraine in one day — a promise that has triggered strong reactions around the world.
