In Myanmar, journalists are facing arrest and torture for simply doing their jobs.

Some are escaping to neighbouring Thailand, which is traditionally known for sheltering journalists from across the border.

But since the military coup, some say they do not feel safe hiding there, either.

Earlier this month three journalists from the Democratic Voice of Burma were quickly sentenced and deported after being arrested in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai.

Al Jazeera’s Tony Cheng reports from the Thai-Myanmar border.
