The midterms are over but there’s still a lot of uncertainty regarding women’s health. Trump has made his views on abortion, sexual assault, and women in general clear — and that could have sever impact for several important policies. Title X, which 4 million people rely on for affordable birth control and reproductive health care, and organizations like Planned Parenthood could be in jeopardy with budgeting restraints. 9 out of 10 women will rely on birth control in their lifetimes, but the Trump administration is chipping away at the birth control protections created in the Affordable Care Act. Betsy DeVos has proposed new rules for Title IX that would eliminate schools’ responsibility for investigation off-campus incidents and make them legally responsible for fewer assault cases.
