This teen was hospitalized after suffering a stroke — but she didn’t let that stop her from voting for the first time.

18-year-old Amoon Krisat Velazquez suffered from her second stroke just a few weeks ago. As she described it, the first signs of a stroke were a headache, which spread to the back on the right side and then half of her body started going numb. Velazquez was hospitalized but still made it to her polling place on November 6th to vote in the 2018 midterm elections.
