Fredericton Police said in a post on Twitter that one suspect is in custody following the incident on Brookside Drive.

Police said there were “multiple causalities” and that officers have contained the area while the investigation is ongoing.

The public has been warned to avoid the area and to stay in their homes with doors locked for their safety.
