The UK is the fifth richest country in the world, yet a staggering 30 percent of children are living in poverty, according to official figures.

Britons are set to go to the polls on Thursday, with the opposition Labour predicted to win a landslide victory after 14 years of Conservative rule.

But many are sceptical that Labour will be able to tackle the UK’s systematic inequality crisis.
