German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has visited southwestern Germany where heavy rainfall has triggered flooding and landslides. The regional government in the state of Saarland is freeing up funding to help people forced to leave their homes. Authorities have lifted a storm warning over the state, but say flood waters are likely to keep rising.
