Is the world getting more protectionist, and if it is – should we be worried? Here in Europe, policy makers and analysts are digesting the impact of US President Joe Biden’s decision to impose a 100 percent tariff on electric cars from China. Some describe the gesture as largely symbolic, given that the United States imports only a small volume of vehicles from China.
