Hamas has said it would lay down its weapons and convert into a political party if a Palestinian state is created on the basis of pre-1967 borders. In an interview to Associated Press, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya said the group is willing to agree to a truce of five years or more with Israel. Israel has agreed to the hostage deal proposal on the table that would allow for the unrestricted return of Palestinians to northern Gaza. US-led coalition forces shot down four drones and an anti-ship missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, as per American authorities. Belgium said an aid worker who was part of the country’s development aid efforts in the Gaza Strip died in an Israeli strike on Rafah.
