Canada will halt future arms sales to Israel following a non-binding vote in the House of Commons. US Senator Bernie Sanders hailed Canada’ decision to halt weapons sales to Israel and called on the US to follow suit. UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron has said that a pause in fighting and the release of captives from Gaza was vital. Israeli PM Netanyahu said he had approved the invasion of Rafah despite US pressure but that such an action “will take some time.” Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli military has been operating aggressively inside al-Shifa Hospital for the third day in a row. Relatives and supporters of the Israeli captives in Gaza briefly blocked the main highway in Tel Aviv. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Israel will lose the battle in Gaza irrespective of opting to leave or stay there. Watch the video to find out more.
