"Gaza Needs Marshall Plan", Israeli Ministers Reject Palestinian Statehood In US-Arab Peace Plan

Israel’s far-right ministers have rejected a reported US-Arab framework peace deal that promotes a two-state solution. An announcement on the blueprint could come in the next few weeks, though the timing is largely dependent on an Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal. Ben Gvir angrily responded to the report, saying that it is the intention of the US and Arab states to “establish a terror state”. Meanwhile, a spokesperson in PM Netanyahu’s office has rejected any discussion, for the moment, about a Palestinian state. Mahmoud Abbas said PA* is prepared to take responsibility for the Gaza Strip “immediately upon cessation of aggression against our people”. The Arab League warned an Israeli ground offensive into Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah would lead to “a humanitarian disaster”.
