US Plans To Deter China With "Maritime Strike" Tomahawks, Subs To Deploy Anti-Ship Missiles in 2024

The US Navy plans to arm its submarines with ship-targeting versions of the widely used Tomahawk missile in 2024. According to programme manager Captain Jon Hersey, the “Maritime Strike” version of the Tomahawk will be fielded after Oct 1. Hersey also said the Navy took delivery of the initial version in 2022 for tests before declaring it combat-ready. The plan is part of Washington’s push to ramp up military capabilities to challenge Chinese maritime forces around Taiwan. Watch the video to find out more.
