West Hollywood is proving they have something for all of us in the LGBTQ community with their first annual Bi PrideIt’s the first city-wide Bi Pride celebration in the U.S. and it’s happening on the eve of Bi Visibility Day Sept. 22.

Bi Visibility Day originated in 1999 at the International Gay and Lesbian Association (ILGA) World Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. It’s annually designated for Sept. 23.

Bi Pride is being organized by the City of West Hollywood, amBi LA and HRC LA.

“While a small number of cities have issued proclamations recognizing Bi Visibility Day, this is a historic celebration as the first full-fledged Bi Pride celebration hosted by any U.S. city,” amBi President Ian Lawrence-Tourinho said.

The event will kick off with a rally in front of WeHo Park Auditorium. From there, the organizers have announced a Bi Visibility Walk through the heart of West Hollywood. And it wouldn’t be Hollywood without a party in the back – so that’s happening, too.

Confirmed guests include Torrey Mercer (singing “Boys/Girls”) and L.A. Department of Cultural Affairs Artist-in-Residence Kai Hazelwood (Story Time Silent Disco).

Admission to the event is free. Free parking is available at the library parking structure on a first-come-first-served basis.
