These immigrants lost their limbs seeking safety in the United States. Facing conflict, violence, extortion, poverty, and corruption, many people in the Northern Triangle of Central American (which includes countries like Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador) have no choice but to brave the journey north on a train called La Bestia, also known as La Bestia Tren de la Muerte, a.k.a. ‘The Train of Death.’
