Mumbai: Congress leaders take a dig at the Election Commission | Manifesto Release

As Mumbai heads towards the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, the Congress-led Mumbai Vikas Aghadi has released its manifesto titled ‘Mission Mumbai 2026’.

The manifesto outlines proposals focusing on healthcare, water security, public transport, education, clean air, and waste management. Key points include a Universal Free Health Card, no privatisation of BMC hospitals, expansion of ICU facilities, increased water supply to 5,000 MLD, revival of BEST buses, reopening of Marathi and BMC schools, and measures to tackle pollution and traffic congestion.

Congress leaders also took a dig at the Election Commission over unopposed corporators, irregularities in the voter list ahead of the BMC polls.
