Russia claims its forces have struck a cargo ship allegedly carrying military supplies for Ukraine in the Black Sea, as the vessel was reportedly heading towards the strategic port of Odesa. Russia’s Defence Ministry says the overnight operation also targeted unmanned boat operator locations, port infrastructure in Vylkove, and a railway wagon depot in Ukraine’s Poltava region allegedly used to store and repair military equipment.
The reported strikes highlight Moscow’s continued focus on disrupting Ukraine’s military supply chains, including maritime routes, port facilities and railway networks. With Odesa serving as a key Black Sea port, the latest claims raise fresh questions about the security of Ukraine’s maritime logistics and military supply operations.
