As parrots become more popular as pets in Singapore, authorities are discouraging owners from allowing their birds to fly freely outdoors. The Animal and Veterinary Service has put out an advisory for parrot owners on the risks of doing so. At least one interest group says this will not stop them from letting their birds take flight.
