A senior Houthi official has warned the United States of a “swift and painful response” if President Donald Trump joins Saudi Arabia’s military campaign in Yemen. The warning comes as Riyadh reportedly seeks Washington’s help amid repeated Houthi attacks on airports, oil facilities and transport infrastructure. Saudi-led coalition forces said they intercepted a missile targeting Riyadh and two ballistic missiles aimed at Khamis Mushait, while Trump said he was considering joining Saudi strikes after a deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport. The escalating confrontation raises questions about possible US military involvement and the risk of a wider regional conflict. Firstpost brings you the latest developments from Yemen and the Middle East.
