Opposition leaders and supporters marched towards the Supreme Court in Delhi and filed a joint petition over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and alleged poll irregularities. Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders joined the protest, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, a halt to SIR and a return to paper ballots. Police stopped the march at Bhagwan Dass Road with barricades. The procession later crossed barricades as protesters raised slogans against the government and the Chief Election Commissioner.
