US President Donald Trump accidentally called Iran the “Islamic Republic of Japan” on Wednesday (Jul 8 ) while speaking on the sidelines of a NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye. He said Iran had shot 111 missiles at a US aircraft carrier but “every one of those missiles was knocked down”.
Trump also added that the US would carry out further strikes on Iran after earlier saying the interim ceasefire deal was “over”. #usnews #usa #news
