Ukrainian forces are deploying specialised international units to execute high-stakes tactical counterattacks, relying on elite Colombian infantry to flush out Russian positions east of Kharkiv.
In this episode of Battle Plans Exposed, former military intelligence planner Philip Ingram breaks down how fighters from the 23rd Assault Regiment used dense forest cover to sever Russian supply lines and trap enemy forces against the river.
Bringing years of counterinsurgency experience from South America, these light infantry units excel at close-quarters forest combat, clearing dugouts fast before pairing with precision drone strikes to systematically erase the Russian salient.
Plus, we examine why grouping experienced fighters from the same country eliminates frontline language barriers and supercharges battlefield command and control.
