US President Donald Trump has told Al Jazeera that he is in no rush to return to talks with Iran. In a phone call, Al Jazeera correspondent Tanya Noury asked Trump whether he believed military or economic pressure would produce better results. Trump said he believes both are effective.
Asked how much time he would give Iran to return to the negotiating table, Trump said he had “no time schedule” and was “not in a hurry”. He pointed to Iran’s inflation, economic difficulties and its treatment of protesters, saying he was prepared to wait “whatever it takes”.
