Najaf, Iraq: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited the Imam Ali Shrine in the holy city of Najaf during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world.
Arbaeen is among the most significant events in the Shia Muslim calendar, commemorating 40 days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. Every year, millions of pilgrims, including large numbers from Iran, travel to Iraq to visit the holy shrines in Najaf and Karbala.
