Thai border patrol officer charged over shooting that killed 2 motorcycle taxi drivers

A Thai border patrol police officer has been charged after allegedly opening fire and fatally shooting two motorcycle taxi drivers following a fare dispute in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district on Sunday (Jun 14).

Surveillance footage showed the 33-year-old suspect approaching a group of drivers before one of them kicked him. The man then retreated, drew a handgun and fired several shots at the group.

One driver died at the scene, while a second later died in hospital. A third person was seriously injured.

The suspect has been charged premeditated murder, attempted murder and carrying a firearm in a public place without reasonable cause. #thailand #thainews
