Two US military personnel from West Virginia are fighting for their lives in the hospital after being shot just a few blocks from the White House the day before Thanksgiving. Officials believe the suspect, a 29-year-old Afghan man who was evacuated to the United States in 2021 after the US withdrew from the country, is also in critical condition.
