The US has signed a deal with Saudi Arabia to help the Kingdom develop a civilian nuclear program. The agreement may help Saudi Arabia one day use nuclear power to generate electricity. However, critics say the partnership lacks the protocols other US nuclear deals have, aimed at preventing uranium enrichment and the development of nuclear weapons.
