Two children are dead and 17 others were injured at a Minneapolis Catholic church and school after a gunman opened fire during the first week of classes.
The gunman opened fire during the school’s morning mass, when pre-kindergarten through eight graders were gathered for the Wednesday service.
An 8 and 10-year-old were killed in the pews during Mass, police said.
Two kids remain in critical condition after the fatal attack.
The gunman, now identified as Robin Westman, was dressed in black and sprayed dozens of bullets into the church filled with students.
Parents were seen leaving the scene with their children, as some sobbed, hugging their kids tightly.
