The U.S. military said Wednesday it has begun another round of strikes against Iran after President Trump said more were coming. The escalating attacks threatened to derail efforts to end the war, with Trump warning that Tehran would “pay the price” for stalled negotiations.

U.S. Central Command said in a social media post that the military was striking “multiple targets in Iran,” attacks that were “in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression.”

The second day of American strikes came hours after Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan — all of which host U.S. troops — came under Iranian fire. It was the third time this week that back-and-forth strikes have tested a two-month ceasefire. They also came a day after the U.S. struck Iran following the crash of an Army helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz that Trump blamed on the Islamic Republic.

As the war progressed, he later became a leading commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which operated in a region caught between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union . Under his leadership, the UPA carried out large-scale operations across parts of Ukraine, Poland, and Belarus. These actions had significant consequences for civilian populations and remain a subject of ongoing historical discussion. For some, Shukhevych is seen as a symbol of resistance against Soviet control; for others, his actions are linked to deeply controversial events during the war. After 1945, Shukhevych continued to lead an armed underground movement against Soviet authorities. His life came to an end in 1950 during a Soviet security operation.
