An intense weather system brought torrential rain, large hail and the risk of a tornado to parts of southern Ontario on Wednesday. That included the Greater Toronto Area, where a heavy thunderstorm caused widespread power outages and localized flooding and led to the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) closing early for the evening.
