Serbian public broadcaster Radio Television of Vojvodina (RTV) has apologised to viewers for years of one-sided and uncritical reporting following the student-led Student List’s historic parliamentary election victory over Aleksandar Vučić’s alliance.
News anchor Goran Eror acknowledged the broadcaster’s failures, while acting editor-in-chief Nenad Ćaćić resigned. Preliminary results show the Student List winning 52.71% of votes counted and a projected 140 seats in Serbia’s 250-member parliament, compared with 104 seats for the Vučić-led alliance.
