Occupational therapists say that even as Personal Mobility Aid users get certified under new rules, operating the devices safely can be a challenge for some. Users who tend to be older may need more extensive assessment and training. From 1st June, PMA users need a certificate of medical need to prove their eligibility if they are below 70 years old.
