An attack targeting King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, eastern Saudi Arabia, killed one person and injured eight others on Wednesday evening, according to the kingdom’s civil aviation authority. Officials said the injuries ranged from minor to serious, while the extent of material damage at the airport was still being assessed. The authority did not specify the type of attack. The incident comes amid repeated projectile attacks targeting Saudi airports in recent days, which Saudi Arabia has faced amid escalating regional tensions and the Yemen conflict.
