Mumbai Gets 3 Big Infrastructure Boosts: Metro One, RBI HQ & Thane Coastal Road. ( 6July – 2026 – 13 July 2026)
Mumbai is set to witness major infrastructure and development milestones across transport, finance and connectivity.
:small_blue_diamond: Mumbai Metro One has received a major financial lifeline after signing a ₹2,771.32 crore debt restructuring agreement with the National Asset Reconstruction Company (NARCL). The deal will reduce more than ₹1,100 crore of debt and help ensure smooth operations on the Versova–Andheri–Ghatkopar Metro corridor.
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has initiated the construction process for its new Central Office Building at Nariman Point. The ₹1,586 crore project will create a new landmark in South Mumbai and strengthen the city’s central business district.
Thane Coastal Road construction is progressing rapidly, with over 75% of the elevated viaduct foundation work completed. The 13.45-km access-controlled corridor will improve connectivity between Kharegaon Naka and Gaimukh while easing congestion on Ghodbunder Road.
