Tucked away in a corner of the Imperial War Museum Duxford is a tank with a fascinating and illustrious history – the personal command tank of Britain’s most famous WW2 general that was used at one of Britain’s most famous battles. This overlooked and forgotten relic has an interesting pedigree, and isn’t even British, but is American. Discover the story of Montgomery’s American tank.
