French free solo climber Alain Robert scaled a skyscraper in Barcelona on Thursday (June 26) to call for world peace.
The 62-year-old climber ascended the glass and steel Melia Sky Hotel, cheered on by his son and bystanders on the street.
Once at the top, Robert unfolded a banner painted with a peace sign.
“That was a climb to peace. You know, as I said earlier we recently, Mr. Trump has been elected on a story that he was going to stop all wars in one day. And they keep on sending weapons. They keep on sending money. So he does not intend to stop any war,” Robert said, as he was welcomed with applause by people waiting at ground level.
