Singapore’s Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has reassured residents that it is safe to dine in Bedok despite the presence of recent tuberculosis clusters in the area. He made the comments as mass screenings for TB continued in the area. Drawing on past success in containing a 2024 outbreak, Mr Ong urged residents to remain calm and to participate in testing efforts. Hawkers have reported sharp decline in business following the news. The authorities are working to contain the situation and support affected vendors. Noah Kong reports.
