Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has addressed a pro-government march in the capital Caracas. Amid rising tensions with the United States, Maduro told the crowd that he wanted peace, and swore loyalty to Venezuela. Thousands of people marched in protest against mounting threats from the US, which has included a major buildup of warships in the Caribbean. In recent weeks, the US has carried out strikes on alleged drug-smuggling boats from Venezuela. Maduro accuses the US of trying to overthrow him.
