Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav held an investor meeting in Mumbai, marking his eighth such meeting in two and a half years, according to the state government.
Around ₹90,000 crore in investment proposals or commitments were reported during the meeting, with companies including Sun Pharma, Welspun and Ipca Labs among those participating. The pharmaceutical sector emerged as a major focus.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s power availability and said the state provides electricity to investors at around ₹4 per unit.
Tourism was also highlighted, with the state recording around 13.4 crore tourist visits last year, according to the figures cited at the event.
The state is now looking ahead to its next Global Investors Summit, expected to be held in January in Bhopal.
