Houthi media has reported that the US launched fresh strikes in Yemen. It accused the US military of launching three attacks targeting the airport in Hodeidah city. The reported attack came as a retaliatory move after the Houthis launched missiles towards Israel. The Houthi spokesperson stated that the rebels launched three attacks against Israel within 48 hours, targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. The spokesperson also added that the airport was no longer safe for air travel. This comes days after US President Donald Trump confirmed carrying out powerful strikes against the Houthis on March 15. The strikes killed at least 53 people and injured over 100 in Yemen. Meanwhile, Houthis repeatedly attacked American warships in the Red Sea. Iran-backed Houthis have been attacking commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden for a very long time, in response to the Israeli offensive in Gaza. The group has reiterated their demand for a complete halt to such attacks.
