Less than three weeks after Washington and Tehran agreed to a fragile ceasefire, the United States has launched its largest military operation against Iran since the earlier phase of fighting ended. US forces say they struck more than 80 military targets after accusing Iran of attacking commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has denied responsibility, condemned the strikes, and warned of a crushing response. The escalation has also been accompanied by fresh economic pressure, with Washington revoking a sanctions waiver that allowed limited Iranian oil exports. Explosions have been reported in Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island, while air raid sirens sounded in Bahrain and Kuwait. Gursshheen Gahllen tells you more.
