Sir Keir Starmer is welcoming President Volodymyr Zelensky to Downing Street, after the Ukrainian president joined other European leaders in a call with President Trump yesterday.

Last night Trump vowed there would be “severe consequences” if Russia continued the war, as he prepares to meet President Putin in Alaska on Friday. The US and Russia have proposed a West Bank-style occupation of Ukraine, The Times has been told.
